I have been interested in complementary therapies for many years and trained as a professional aromatherapist with Shirley Price becoming one of her early tutors. My case studies were cited in Shirley Price's practical Aromatherapy (1982). I worked in the UK as a mobile reflexologist and aromatherapist before moving to Canada. I helped develop aromahterapy there and became Chairman of the Canadian Federation of Aromatherapists. I now live in the Netherlands and teach in Canada, The UK and the Netherlands.
My own practice gives me the opportunity to work with clients and help restore balance, reduce stress, enhance overall health, and help to improve quality of life in a holistic way.
I have expanded my practice to include a range of therapies. I was honoured to become a fellow of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.
I deliver the Shirley Price Aromatherapy Diploma at Shirley Price Aromatherapy Ltd with Sue Jenkins BSc MIFPA to students training for IFPA membership. Module One runs in January, February and March and we progress through all 5 modules by August when Sue Jenkins teaches Module Five and conducts the examinations with an independent examiner.
I provide bespoke CPD in Hinckley and in Brighton. I teach aromatherapy to small groups and individuals to meet specific requirements and tutor the bespoke Shirley Price Aromatherapy courses to NHS Hospitals seeking to employ aromatherapy in a clinical setting.
I have made a number of public broadcasts of aromatherapy.
